How did you get started playing roller derby?

I started watching Roller Derby in the 80’s with my two sisters. We would watch, get all pumped up, then play in the drive way until someone got hurt. Twenty years later… a friend went to a bout, loved it, and suggested I play. I thought it would be fun so, the next week I showed up to practice and here I am.

How long have you been skating?

4 years.

What is your favorite derby position to play?

Blocker

What is your greatest derby achievement so far?

Making it to Division 2 playoffs this season. We’ve all put in a lot of hard work and sacrifice, it’s great to see it’s pay off.

What is your favorite part of skating with Sin City Rollergirls?

Sin City is an amazing team, with a tremendous amount of drive and determination. They continue to evolve into better teams every week, they build each other up, and look out for one another, I’m always looking forward to practice.

Do you have a derby crush? Who is it?

I wouldn’t say crush, but I do spend a lot of time at practice watching, admiring, and thinking about Bust ‘N Ace -lol-
She’s an extraordinary skater, blocker, and jammer, I’ve learned so much from watching her play every day. I’ll watch her movements, pick apart her mechanics, and figure out how to become as good as she is at something- and then there’s about a million other things she’s great at, so I have to watch her a lot.

What is your day job?

I own a cosmetic teeth whitening company here in Las Vegas with one of my friends called Envy Us Smiles. You can check us out on Facebook.

I would say that I take a little bit from most everyone. Everyone has their strengths that I find admirable and influence me in some way. I try and take the best from everyone and work toward being as great as they are.

What is the strangest thing in your purse or wallet right now?

A power crystal, but I think it’s broken and I should probably throw it out.

Tell us one thing about yourself that we wouldn’t expect…

In the 1980’s I was on a TV show called Romper Room.
